Message from the Faculty Dean

The Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI) congratulates all students in their quest for educational development. We strongly believe that education is for each and everyone and we strive to meet all wherever they are in their personal journey of self improvement. Our faculty is committed to providing students with the quality education they deserve, and with ensuring their success.

Our wide array of programmes caters to varied interests and abilities and each student can anticipate individual mentoring from our dedicated and qualified staff. We ask, in turn, that students make full use of all the facilities offered, such as the library and computer laboratory. In addition, we anticipate that students will seek, eagerly, the nurturing that is rightfully theirs as stakeholders of this Institute.

THTI also embraces students who are at present employed in the hospitality and tourism sectors, as we remain committed to fulfilling the industry’s needs. Whether training is done on behalf of an organization or as a personal endeavour, there are flexible and convenient courses designed to accommodate all.

We, in turn, fully appreciate from our stakeholders the continued support and interest in the well-being of the institute. The communities throughout Tobago, members of the tourism industry and general public all play an important role in THTI’s success as an educator. We hope that this support will become even stronger as we constantly up-date our standards and make studying and working with the institute a worthwhile and enjoyable experience.

Moreover, we hope that through THTI, everyone will obtain a greater understanding of the true meaning of customer service. We want to guarantee that all visitors to, and citizens of the island of Tobago experience the wonder of our hospitality and island spirit through trained professionalism.
